A Practical Golden Wedding Present – An Urban Kitchen
Mr & Mrs Wilson had never actually had a brand new urban kitchen, they had always inherited their kitchen with their various property moves as many of us do.
The actual task of going out and entering the world of urban kitchens can be a daunting process and very confusing for the first time! Such a significant financial commitment and style decision certainly needs time and can’t be taken lightly.
After reaching the wonderful ’50 years of marriage club’ and celebrating their golden wedding, it was decided that a brand new kitchen chosen all by themselves was the way to mark this auspicious occasion.
The usual places were visited at first being new to this game. As always the same reaction was waiting to greet them at these large chain stores. Pressure, Pressure and more pressure.
With a mixture of expensive quotes and no deal unless you complete by a quick deadline!
Downhearted and not finding this the enjoyable experience they longed for the Wilson’s went back to the drawing board. Luckily an acquaintance of Mrs Wilson suggested they visit Urban Kitchens on the one-way system.
Mrs Wilson had passed the showroom many times before but until needing to purchase a new kitchen had never given it a second glance.
The whole experience from the moment they visited Steve at Urban completely changed for the better.
No pressure at all, a pleasant little wandering around the showroom being shown colours, door styles, gadgets and many more exciting new kitchen miracles filled the Wilson’s with the excitement and enjoyment this purchase should indeed behold.
The rest is history March 2018 began a complete fit project including plumbing electrics and a new floor.
Steve advised on the original plan and moved various stations and cupboards from the old kitchen to bring together a really bright, inviting and modern/classic feel which blends fabulously with Wilson’s beautiful converted barn property.
Solent is one of the most popular ranges to bring this concept together, and the grey mist choice really does give this room the contemporary edge Mrs Wilson wanted to achieve.
On meeting Mrs Wilson, I thoroughly enjoyed listening about her kitchen journey. The enthusiasm for her love of this new room was infectious. The large drawer system really did house everything she needed for day to day cooking. The pull-out larder really is the cherry on the cake.
Not to mention the carousel systems in both corner units and of course standard soft closing! Teamed with Bosch appliances to really finish off the ultimate cooking system.
Who needs a stainless steel sink when you can have a beautiful grey composite sink to marry beautifully with the wood effect worktops giving back the country feel and blending into a fantastic breakfast bar to seat her four little grandsons on their visits.
A real achievement by all concerned. Praise indeed for Steve and his team yet again every detail covered and any hiccup smoothed out and sorted with little disturbance and lots of professionalism.
Thank you so much for letting us share this truly cool yet bright room with the added extra of now washing up with a view!
