One taste doesn’t always suit all

When Mr & Mrs Doyle moved into their new build home the one thing that never felt right was their kitchen. Although Kate told me what a good design it was, she disliked the colour, which became a bug bear as time went on. Not being chosen by themselves, it just didn’t hit the spot.

The Doyle’s decided to get their thinking caps on and look to improve the kitchen and space with that in mind.

Plans were drawn, the builder summonsed, and Urban contacted the project began.

What a result, not only in design but also in price. A significant national competitor came up with a plan and a price off budget and not what the couple asked for. The Doyle’s consulted Urban about the design, which was changed to Kate’s choice. In Kate’s words, the price was thousands cheaper, the deal was done.

This is a classic example of the stunning true handless kitchen, one of our most popular ranges. The design is detailed and very Germanic, with every aspect covered, from a beverage area to a display section breaking up the run of units.

The glass splashback is a real showstopper! Which throws out the kitchen entirely and creates space and light for the north-facing room.

The island is the fundamental feature, with the popular quartz “Calacacta Gold” listed as the top 5 choices in current trends. Created with the waterfall effect incorporating the shark nose edge, a combination that works.

The Doyle’s kept some of their appliances from the previous kitchen as they were new and added to a wine cooler, induction hob, and ceiling extraction system.

The whole feeling of this beautiful room is light bright, and open with fabulous views. The kitchen nestles proudly into the room and creates a run of simple yet stylish furniture.

Kate told me that the service and help she received from the Urban Team was second to none. The words “No, you can’t” were never spoken, unlike her previous experience at the national retail showroom.

A huge thank you to the Doyle family including Penny the Pug, for letting us showcase your kitchen. It was a pleasure working with you. We wish you many years of happiness and entertaining in this spectacular room!
