50% of Homeowners are ‘opening up’ kitchens – The Super Kitchen

Over half of renovating homeowners are deciding to ‘open-up’ their kitchens to create a ‘Super Living Space’. According to a 2016 UK Houzz Kitchen Trends Survey, having a ‘Super Kitchen’ increases the functionality of other rooms it joins with.

69% of all those surveyed (according to Houzz) use their kitchen for eating and dining. 48% use the kitchen for entertaining guests and 44% for general socialising. 66% of all homeowners spend more than 3 hours a day in the kitchen.

The ‘Super Kitchen’ is the new living room, family room and diner… So really we have to ask; where does your kitchen end and you living room start?
