Renovations with a retro twist
These recent times have been tough on most businesses. We have all had to adapt to current circumstances in record time.
Events have meant new ways to communicate with our clients, be it online or face to face with compliances and rules followed.
Visors and masks have become second nature. What we value the most at Urban is the way our clients have embraced the current situation and risen above these hurdles and accepted this as just a challenge.
The results have been outstanding, and our relationship between client and designer has only strengthened. Supply chain issues have thwarted our industry recently. Still, with the right communication level kept and customer patience, the job has got done to a standard beyond expectations and a result that’s only dreamed.
Joanne and Paul Murray have an impeccable eye for detail and difference. When they took on their full renovation project, the word compromise did not exist.
Moving back to Joanne’s childhood area from a new build property to tackle a full renovation of a 1960’s property was not for the faint-hearted! But to put a pandemic in the mix to throw up some challenges!!
The pictures speak for themselves. The Murray’s have managed to bring to life a contemporary modern living space and combine this theme with retro touches and colour splashes. The whole room oozes difference and style.
Fjord blue has been a high contender in the kitchen design market for some time now! Establishing itself as a calming, relaxed, colour which can go modern or traditional smoothly. The Scandinavian look has well and truly bedded itself in the design bibles. This retro take is yet another example of the versatility of this colour. Team it with slab doors, wide, deep drawers and retro handles, and this is what you get! A design triumphs!
Toni worked closely with The Murrays to create an ample living space fit to entertain family and friends when eventually permitted!! The Neff hide and slide ovens an absolute winner with Joanne. Delicately veined quartz married up so well with the fjord theme. An out and out stunning room with plenty of style touches and gadgets to suit many families. Remote control curtains just the cherry on the cake.
